boy was yesterday a fun day.... i went for my air-rifle shooting championship today!!! it was held at the CDANS shooting range which was one of the facilities with it being a country club. i still have the days events rewinding in my mind. hahaha.... fun all day. added on with the various experiences today.
my last practice shoot was thursday last week at hougang secondary. thats more than a week ago! imagine how i shot with the rifle today... not so good i guess. maybe if an unexpected event didnt occur last week, i could have gotten better results but still im not really complaining. bcoz the girls team turn to shoot was in the afternoon, we had to meet mr ben cheah at 2pm at bukit gombak mrt control station. he took us to CDANS in his car aft dat. i guess the guys wanted to meet us before we went coz we say them aft leaving off in the car. however, they could have juz met us there since the results for the guys team werent announced yet. while waiting for our turn, an officer came up and told us the guys team didnt make it so they now have to depend on us to win someting for the school. my other two frens told me dat they are depending on me to do this. dat suddenly seemed like a heavy burden on me.... we went to eat and drink downstairs first coz there was at least an hour b4 the shoot. the time came.
i put on my glove on my left hand and waited for instructions. ten minutes were first given as preparation time. no live firing is to be done. i checked my position and tried how i was gonna shoot. when dat was done, 45 minutes was given to shoot properly. i spent 15 minutes on my sighting shots and the rest of the time on my competition shots. quite bad if i say so. i finished my shots 4 min b4 the end. quite a long time i took. my frens told me they didnt do well either. my fren who had to use a left-handed air rifle told me she encountered a lot of difficulties along the way. for me, my eye went blur when i tried to aim. other than dat, the rifle was sensitive enough for my type. i was nearly sweating, standing there for soooo long. a few minutes later, the results were posted on the result board outside in front of the lift. all of us rushed out, waiting eagerly for the results of our efforts.
u wanna noe the results? wait till school reopens. [groan] i have to keep a secret for a whole month. hope theres nothing dat would tempt me to do so. haha....
